Question about Mapping

That could be a good idea to have a special map for WAR. So we would like to know if some people (members or not) know how to build maps, and who would be interested to make it or help?

That would be nice to have an objective map design by members...If we find many people ready to do it that could work!

Some kind of supply depot would be perfect. 2 parts of the map with a wall to destroy in the middle. Textures like supply...Maybe no truck to escort but a crate to steal and escape with it...

well i could do it.. but i simply dont have the time to do it:/ i would only be able to do this kind of thing after the exams.... so yea..

i have a few ideas like a map similar to oasis or fueldump?

i can easily do texture and stuff like that as long someone else does the structure/modelling

Allies at start must construction a bridge then they go to next field and they have to steal a gold is under base axis(before allies must destroy the wall which is the enterence to axis base ,then repair a truck ,truck is in axis base too and escort truck at the end of map ,map ill be in night .

imo night sucks Very Happy but rest is nice .. but can be hard for allies cause of a lot of engi job. i can help but i need a hmm someone who will tell me how to do this stuff ... only it is a prob:<

Yes we need some help, i never made map a and i have know idea how it's builded up or the structure :s

This topic is made to know who would like to help, no matter if you know how to build a map or not. All the help should be welcomed. We know slowrock who could maybe help a little bit for the start, i will try to contact R.JiZzle too. D!s@ also have some knowledge about mapping (he has secret talents!)

i dont have knowledge required to help you at any stage -.-
but i would like to tell that the map couldnt be too long
15-20 mins like adler or braundorf

The mapping of the map itself is not that hard. The hardest part is scripting the map (destructible objects, trucks, objective runs etc.) and an unexperienced mapper would definitely need some help with that. I know someone, Fate, and he is an excellent mapper and willing to help new mappers. So we could ask him for help Smile
